Mme Mona has served as Directrice of Pwojè Fanm since 2011. In addition to her administrative role, she teaches the culinary course and is renowned for her abilities as a cuisinière! She sews and creates jewelry for Beatitudes and also works for the local office of the public school system. Mme Mona is also the mother of 5 children, so she is a busy lady!
Mme YanitheTeacher, Beatitudes Coordinator
is the newest teacher with the Pwojè Fanm program and also serves as the Beatitudes coordinator with the program. She has two young sons and works hard to help support her family. She is highly creative and has a gentle spirit and a beautiful smile. She loves to learn new techniques and feels that working with Beatitudes has given her experiences she wouldn’t have had otherwise. She dreams of using her creativity to make wonderful things for people.
Mme Jalouse ("Janose")Teacher
Mme Jalouse ("Janose") Dor has taught embroidery, sewing, and flower arranging at Pwojè Fanm for many years. In working with Beatitudes, she has also learned how to make jewelry. Her skills are impeccable and she is a very hard and prolific worker! She labors diligently to provide an education and opportunities for her daughter.
Bernadette enrolled in the Pwojè Fanm school after she returned from several months in the U.S. following surgery to repair a cleft palate (medical care provided through Childspring International). She was unable to complete secondary school because of her medical history and lack of financial resources, but she embraced the opportunity she received through the vocational program and has become a skilled seamstress and jewelry maker. She graduated from Pwojè Fanm in 2012 and continues to work with Beatitudes.
